The fabric used in the production of the cope is airy and crease-resistant, suitable for standard washing and ironing, which together account for its practicality and the possibility of frequent use. The quality of the fabrics used largely helps preserve the color and shade given to the robe.

Velvet embroidered front straps and hood with IHS embroidery, trimmed with gold ribbon, add appropriate character to the robe.

The IHS embroidery is made with metalized thread.
